Thread: Everglades Challenge 2012 Open

Registration for the Everglades Challenge 2012 is now open.

No changes to the rules or required equipment.

We will still use SPOT and the mapper will be up to the task.

We will have two SPOTs in reserve at each checkpoint. As checkpoints close any SPOTs still in reserve will move to the next checkpoint so we should be able to handle any failures.

I will be adding some "best practices" for keeping your SPOT operational for the entire event to the SPOT usage guidelines.

Reserve your motel room at the end as early as possible. Please remember that ALL motels have policies about canceled reservations. If you don't get to Key Largo as fast as you plan, you have to deal with their standard policies. The best thing is to have your family or friends observe the challenge from Key Largo. They can have all kinds of fun while you are out suffereing.

If you want a camp site at Fort Desoto, make sure to reserve it as early as possible. They fill up fast.
