Cedar Key Course
This course consists of four loops and you can choose which loop you want to do
just before launching.
Waypoints and other course information will be available soon. Note that the
35-Mile loop is referred to as the O'Dark 30 option because the launch time for
that loop only is 05:30. All other loops start at 08:00 to catch the tide
before it gets too low. All racers must finish no later than 17:00.
O'Dark 30 racers should declare their intention before arriving in Cedar Key by using the comments section of the registration form. These participants must
carry more extensive equipment and must have lighting since they will launch in
the dark. The coast line north of Cedar Key is very exposed and has little
to no cell phone coverage. Even a VHF radio might not be able to contact the
Coast Guard. Therefore an EPIRB is required to do that loop. Inspection
for those selecting the O'Dark 30 option will be at Saturday night.
The following link provides all waypoints and course directions for all loops.
Remember that piloting your boat is your responsibility. Just because the
route shows or implies a straight line does not mean that is the fastest or safest
